Monday Morning update: I'll be making a couple more of these "Mommy and Me" aprons this week, and then writing up the eBook . . . . . so if you are interested, please leave me a comment and I'll get it out to you as soon as it is finished. This project will also be included in my eBook, "Handcrafted Happiness," that I am currently working on. I'll keep you posted on the other projects that will be included in that eBook!
Later today I will be posting a short tutorial on ruffles. I've received a few requests for information about different techniques for making all those gorgeous ruffles that we all love so much. I know that there are probably as many different techniques as there are seamstresses out here in the big world of home sewing, but I always love to help beginners in any way that I can. Especially if you are just learning how to sew and want to make fun, simple, and beautiful clothing for your children or yourself, I am so inspired to offer a word of encouragement.
Off to the studio for the morning, but please check back for the ruffle tutorial, and let me know if you want me to send you the eBook on the "Mommy and Me" aprons later this week. Have a blessed and productive Monday, and we'll chat later ;o)
I absolutely LOVE seeing (and drooling over) what your newest creations are....I would LOVE to have your Mommy & Me Apron e-book and I look forward to seeing your ruffle tutorial....Thank you so much for sharing your creations and your talent!

I would love a Mommy and Me apron ebook. I'd like to make a set for my sister and her daughter. I may even make a set for my niece and myself that matches so when she comes over on Fridays we can craft together in our aprons. We already craft together but it may be fun to have the aprons.

Wow! I love it! Can these be made Plus Size? I am on the plus size side of things and don't find very many apron patterns to fit! I'd love to give this a go!
Thanks!

I just made some aprons and chef's hats for my neighbor's 3 year old twins and then we made cookies! What fun. I'd love the e-book so that I can make them another set of aprons and this time include Mom.

Oh, I would also love the e-book! I already noticed those sweet aprons last time I stopped at your blog. Fell in love with the left one on the top. I actually even saved a picture of it to my computer as inspiration! :-) So kind of you to offer the e-book!
Now I am following you so I don't miss a thing ... :-)
Have a great day!

Hi Sheila! Thanks for stopping by . . . the ruffle tutorial is up so come on back and tell me what you think. I'll be working on the apron eBook tomorrow and should have it finished up and posted on Thursday. I'll get them sent out to everyone at least by the end of the week! ~~ Nina

Well thank you, Veronica! I love writing up my eBooks and tutorials, but even more than that, I love meeting new friends who love to sew as much as I do ;o) The ruffle tutorial is up, so stop back when you have a minute! ~~ Nina

Thanks BettyC! That's one of the best things about these little aprons . . . you can easily make them any size you want, from the tiniest little princesses to grown-up Grammies, like you and me! ~~ Nina

Hi Susan! What a fun idea ;o) It is wonderful that you get together every week to work on craft projects together, and your aprons could be kind of like your official "club wear"! Stop back and take a peek at the ruffle tutorial, too, when you have a minute! ~~ Nina

Danielle!!! Congratulations on your new baby! Especially after five little boys, I am sure you are delighted to have that little princess to dress up ;o) These aprons are so easy that this would make a perfect project to do together when she is old enough. I'm also thinking about a pattern for an art / craft apron that could be made for either boys or girls. I had a great art smock / apron for my youngest son when he was little and it got plenty of artistic action over the years! Arts and crafts aren't just for us girls ;o) ~~ Nina
