Having just discovered "Inspire Me Thursday," I thought it would be fun to participate. So, although I didn't find this fun challenge until Monday of this week, I'm trying to sneek in before the next theme is posted! This past week the prompt for a personal art endeavor was "Connections." How do I connect with myself, others, nature . . . . through my relationships, my endeavors, my faith. Whatever brings connection to my life. So, this is the picture that came to mind! Took it myself while we were working in the garden, sweet hubby was washing the windows and I just said, "Come over here, Sweetie, and give me a smooch!" And of course he was very willing to cooperate! Then I snapped the picture and I love it! And it is even more charming now that I've turned it into an oil painting through the magic of my photo editing program. And then, this morning, as I was playing with all of my ephemera treasures, I thought of how I could capture the emotion behind this picture and suddenly the word "entwine" captured my imagination. Like the rose bushes on my picket fence, the leaves and stems interweaving themselves among the fence posts . . . . that is how I imagine this eternal connection. Now I'm off to get mamas little treasures ready to list in my Etsy shop!
