“Like any mom, at times I’ve felt like a failure. And other times I’ve felt as if God reached down and added an extra touch of sunshine to the day.”
By author Tricia Goyer, on her website
When we are feeling inadequate, we need to hold tightly to the reality that God does not expect us to know all the answers or "fix" everything that needs to be repaired in the world. That is His job. Of course, we strive to do our best, and we rely on His strength to maneuver those difficult and confusing periods we all go through. But when we are right in the midst of a crisis of confidence in our own ability to be the mom that we know He wants us to be . . . . we must never, never allow the voices around us to convince us that we are a failure.
His eye is on the sparrow, and we know that He cares for us. Each one of us. No matter where we are or what our circumstances, no matter what we've been told or what we've believed about our own inadequacies, God is streaming His sunshine directly into our hearts. Don't let the "clouds" of criticism, judgmental and hurtful words, or self-righteous pronouncements hide the sunshine of God's love. You are not a failure, and if you only move out of the shadow of fear into the light of His love, you will always find that little extra touch of sunshine that He is sending your way. Today, look beyond the clouds and shadows that may haunt you, because the truth will set you free!

We do miss the sunshine don't we because we we can't see past the clouds. How wonderful the sunshine is there if we know how to look for it. Thanks for sharing today.
