As I emerged from my little sewing corner the other afternoon, I nearly tripped over our Anna-Banana, all curled up in the middle of the living room. Although you can't see it in this picture, she has crayons and a piece of paper right underneath her face and arms. She was coloring and just fell asleep! I guess she was all tired out from the activities of the day. I feel like that sometimes, but I usually can't just stop and take a nap . .. . . maybe that would be a good thing, if we could all take a break in the late afternoon, even for 15 - 20 minutes. Just long enough to catch my breath, before continuing on with my other responsibilities. Think about that - I've been working on some ideas to share with other moms on ways we can slow down, take a deep breath, find inspiration and a place of peace in the midst of the busy-ness that is the reality of our lives with children. Gotta love it, but you also have to figure out how to survive it!
