I have really missed the interaction with my bloggity friends. But then, life does have a way to making us pay attention to the really important things, and sometimes the "Other Stuff" just is more demanding than my blogging preferences. Like getting a job . . . . no, I mean ANOTHER job . . . . one that will bring in real money for my little family. But I am so grateful that I was able to work from home for the three years since we brought Annie home. The girls are doing great these days, and they are having a great time at day camp this summer. Since we just moved and I have started working away from home a few days a week, they seem to be enjoying this opportunity to make new friends. And so, as we strive to return to some normalcy in our day-to-day lives, I am looking forward to getting back to my blogging routine and reconnecting with some of you.
One thing I've been thinking about a lot lately is how much I want to get back to my scrapbooking projects. Am I the only one who struggles to be consistent with this task? Well, not that it is a "task" in the sense that it is something that I feel that I HAVE to do (but don't really want to). It is something that I LOVE to do, but it just seems to be one of those things that is difficult to get started. Then, of course, once I get started, I become obsessed! Kind of like blogging . . . so, since I can do this NOW and I can't get back to my scrapbooking for a week or two, I think I'll post some pictures that I want to get printed out and put into one of my long-neglected scrapbooks.
My second daughter (used to be the baby of the family, but now she's a mommy herself!) has been encouraging me to get back to the memory-making process, and I know you all want to see some pictures of a couple of our beautiful grandbabies ;o) so here they are! MY baby was always just a teeny little bit of a thing, and she still is . . . . but now we have a couple more precious little ones. That is definitely enough to get me motivated on those scrapbooks! She has even been busy with her own scrapbooking website, so if you are looking for some new scrapbook ideas and products, take a peek at Close to My Heart. We might even start a weekly scrapbook page idea post - just for those of us who tend to prefer a simple approach to scrapbook pages. I admire those elegant, perfectly designed pages, but sometimes I just want the pictures to speak for themselves. I can't wait to get out all those pictures and get busy!
